NALFA Hosts Successful CLE on Attorney Fee Ethics

NALFA hosted the nation’s largest multi-state CLE program on attorney fees ethics, "Attorney Fees & Ethics: It Pays To Be Reasonable" on July 28, 2016A panel of some of the nation's top legal ethics experts covered a range of ethical issues on attorney fees and legal billing. 

Panelists included Carole J. Buckner, Principal of Buckner Law Corp. in Irvine, CA, Gwendolyn H. Daniel, Partner at Smith Tozian Daniel & Davis PA in Tampa Bay, FL, Jan L. Jacobowitz, Professor of Law at University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, FL and Stephanie L. Stewart, Partner at Meyer Law Group LLC in Chicago, IL. 

Panelists addressed the hot issues and developments in attorney fee ethics including proper legal billing practices, referral fees, outsourcing, litigation financing and more.  Panelists also considered several real world ethical fee hypotheticals in the context of the business of law.
