Course Description
In large bankruptcy cases, professional fees can quickly grow into the millions of dollars. Panelists cover a range of fee, rate, and billing issues that arise in large Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. Only judges can approve attorney fee awards.  A panel of sitting federal judges address a range of issues in awarding attorney fees and expenses in large, complex litigation in federal court.  Panelists discuss the nuts and bolts of attorney fee awards including fee calculation methods, attorney fee award factors, establishing hourly rates, attorney fee disputes, attorney fee allocation issues, and more.  Panelists also offer judicial insight on attorney fee claims and provide practice tips for fee-seeking and fee-challenging litigators.  Course materials included.
