Course Description
The law and ethics of attorney fees prevent the practice of litigation from being just another capitalist enterprise.  A panel of some of the nation's top legal ethics experts cover a range of ethical issues on attorney fees and legal billing. Panelists review the state ethical rules related to reasonable attorney fees and proper legal billing practices. Panelists address the latest issues in attorney fee ethics including the ethics of fee agreements, billing guidelines, fee disputes, division of fees, fee collection, fees paid by cryptocurrency, litigation financing, the use and ethics of AI, and more.  Course materials included.

Course Description
Attorney fee requests must be proven in a court of law.  More and more judges are relying on the work of special masters to award attorney fees and expenses in large, complex cases.  Litigants are also turning to outside attorney fee experts to prove reasonable attorney fees in court or arbitration.  Our panel of qualified attorney fee experts discuss a range of issues that arise in the fee-setting stage of litigation.  Panelists cover proving hour rates, utilizing data points in lawyering, employing all favorable fee award factors, and more.  Panelists also provide practice tips for fee-seeking and fee-challenging litigators.  Course materials included.
